Boys Soccer Beats Amanda Clearcreek

Boys Soccer Beats Northeastern

The West Jefferson Boys soccer team defeated Northeastern 8-1 on Saturday.  Scoring for the Roughriders: Connor Shields (4), Matthew Stultz (2), Cody Dingess, Damir Pereira.  Sophomore Ross Hall had 10 saves on the day.  The Roughriders are currently 4-5.   

Girls Soccer Ties Bexley

The Lady Roughriders tied Bexley 1-1 Thursday evening.  Madi Phillips had the lone goal for the Roughriders while Ashtyn Webb had 22 saves.

Girls Soccer Beats Westfall

The Roughriders had a strong showing from Hope Lewis (2), Claire Sterling (1), McKayla McPherson (1), Zoey Fisher (1), and Sydney Gaus (1).  Bidwell had 2 saves while Webb had one.  The Lady Roughriders beat the Mustangs 6-1. 

Roughriders Downed by the Ironmen

The Roughriders traveled to Jackson County to take on the Ironmen and lost 28-0.  The football team will be back home this week against Madison Plains.  It is homecoming for the Roughriders and kickoff is at 7pm.  This opens up league play.  Come out and cheer on your Roughriders.

Lady Riders Volleyball Steps Up to the Challenge

The Varsity and Junior Varsity volleyball teams traveled for a non-conference contest against Logan Elm Saturday afternoon. Varsity overcame a slow start to stun the Braves in 5 sets (12-25; 22-25; 25-19; 25-18; 16-14). It was a great team win with everyone contributing and working hard. WJ Volleyball defeats Columbus Academy

The WJ Volleyball program came out with three victories. Freshmen defeated Buckeye Valley (25-14; 25-17). The Junior Varsity defeated Columbus Academy (25-5; 25-4). Then Varsity came out with a win over Academy (25-10; 25-21; 25-9).
