Converse Gets 400 Wins

Congratulations to Coach Converse and his 400th victory this past weekend.  There will be a short award recognition January 3rd before the varsity contest against Columbus Academy. 

Girls Basketball vs Whitehall

The Lady Roughriders will be taking on Whitehall at home this Saturday evening.  Coach Converse is 1 win away from 400 total victories in his career.  Come one out and cheer on your Roughriders.   

Boys Basketball Game Changes

Grandview has cancelled Freshmen boys basketball games.  Both games vs Grandview will be JV and Varsity only contests.  On December 23rd, the JV game will start at 6pm.

WJ Wrestling Wins Tournament

The West Jefferson Roughrider Wrestling team took home the championship trophy at the Joe Stora Invitational Tournament by winning all five of their dual matches.   Senior captain Cody Dingess led the way for the Riders by pinning all five of his opponents improving his season record to 7-0.  Junior Chuck Fultz was a great

Boys Basketball Game Tonight

The boys basketball team will have their game opener tonight against Bexley.  Come out and cheer on the boys under the guidance of new Head Coach Stu Hartenstein.  Remember the WJ Parade will be going on around the same time so you may have to take an alternate route to get to the high school. 

Wrestling Duals

The West Jefferson Roughrider wrestling team started their season off on December 10th with a tri-match against St. Francis DeSales and Licking Valley. The Riders began the night with a convincing win over DeSales by a score of 51-25 while dropping the dual against a very experienced and strong Licking Valley team 54-30. Leading the way were
