West Jefferson defeated Bishop Ready 20-0 on Saturday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Brandon Baird induced a groundout from Wochle to finish off the game. In the first inning, the Roughriders got their offense started when Dylan Lambert lined out, driving in a run.
West Jefferson scored ten runs in the third inning. Ethan Hoenie, Ethan Miller, Gabe Jones, Trent Kincade, Lambert, and Kyle Mason each drove in runs during the inning.
One bright spot for Bishop Ready was a single by Dent in the second inning.
Justin Williams pitched West Jeff to victory. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Kincade and Baird entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Kamsame took the loss for Bishop Ready. He lasted two and a third innings, allowing 13 hits and 13 runs while striking out one and walking one.
West Jefferson collected 19 hits. Williams, Hoenie, Miller, Kincade, Cade Brintlinger, Baird, and Jones all managed multiple hits for West Jeff. Williams led the Roughriders with three hits in three at bats.
