OHSAA wrestling state tournament

Keckley is going to States!

Congratulations to Bryce Keckley for advancing to the OHSAA State wrestling finals! Wrestling begins at 3:00 PM on Friday. Bryce also earned his 100th career win at the district tournament this weekend.

West Jefferson Invitational

The high school hosted the 2019 West Jefferson Wrestling Invitational this past weekend, Dec 27th-28th. We crowned 1 champion, sophomore Bryce Keckley at 160lbs. 2 wrestlers took 2nd place, Junior Sam Fast at heavyweight and sophomore Jon Rickenbacker at 170lbs. Sophomore A.J. Champions Return

West Jeff wrestling alumni Gennar Feucht stopped by on Monday. Gennar won the most recent state championship for the Roughriders in 2013. He delivered an inspiring speech about overcoming obstacles, and what it takes to be a champion on and off the mat. We look forward to more alumni coming back

Barry Broome A big thank you to Barry Broome.  Barry was West Jefferson local school districts first wrestling state champ.   He came in from Sacramento, California on friday and spoke with our boys.  Barry gave a impassioned speach to the boys.  We appreciate  all he represents  as a former roughrider.  He is a great example

District Q & A For Upcoming Levy

The West Jefferson athletic department is officially announcing the following procedural updates. The southwest football gate will be closed moving forward. All patrons must use the northeast (visitor) and northwest (main) gates for varsity football games beginning in 2019. Handicap parking will be available at the main gate. Senior Citizen Passes

Athletic passes for senior citizens will be available to pick up on July 3rd and 24th. Also available on August 9, 12, 13, 14, 19 and 20th.
